For over 30 years, Kaymich has partnered with the cigarette industry to innovate adhesive and fluid application solutions.

1974 C.B. Kaymich & Co. Limited commence trading, launching the gravity feed side seam system.

1981 the SG range of spray valves with their unique self cleaning feature launched predominantly for use on hinge lid packers and boxers.
A gravity feed system for hot melt application onto filter rod, incorporating the now established Kaymich PVA adhesive applicators to apply tow retention lines and supplementary lap seam, was developed in co-operation with a major manufacturer.

1988 the FDU1 Flavour Dispensing Unit was developed to apply pure menthol crystals onto the paper on the maker affording manufacturers accuracy and production flexibility.  An applicator for applying menthol into the tobacco stream was subsequently developed as an option.

1992 the pump feed version of the successful side seam application system was developed to offer manufacturers the ability to operate effectively at speeds over 8,000 cpm.  Capable of handling liquid starch, this version also offered greater flexibility in choice of materials.

1999 Development of the FTS2000 Spray Tow Retention system applying PVA adhesive in a “swirl” pattern for tow retention, particularly when manufacturing multi segmented filters.

The first TPA3000 installed within a cigarette manufacturer, a revolutionary single roller system for tipping adhesive application.

2002 The MV version miniaturized spray valve developed providing faster response and clean application, even when spraying vertically upwards.

2003  The UFA1000 Universal flavour applicator and the JV series Jetting valves launched during the Tabexpo 2003 exhibition in Barcelona.

2007    Kaymich acquire the Sheffield based engineering company CA Grant Ltd, as part of an ongoing expansion plan.  Both Kaymich and CA Grant are well established Sheffield companies with almost ninety years of manufacturing experience between them. 

2007 Launch of the AFS1000, Advance Flavouring System at the Tabexpo 2007 exhibition in Paris.
